A worksheet calculator lighter than a spreadsheet
Some calculations are not one-off answers: quantity times rate, less discount, plus tax, with inputs that keep changing. Spotlight forgets the context, while opening a spreadsheet can feel like too much ceremony.
Keep the intermediate values in view
Better Calc Pro's worksheet keeps each expression and result on its own line:
- Enter an expression and press Return; the result and the next line appear together.
- Reuse an earlier result with a reference such as
#3, or define a variable likebudget = 12000. - Change one input and let dependent lines recalculate.
Switch between Basic, Scientific, and Programmer keypads, use unit and currency conversion, or insert a formula from the library when needed. Calculation stays on the Mac and does not use a cloud model.
It is still a calculator
Better Calc Pro does not claim to replace Excel, and it does not plot functions or solve equations. Opening currency conversion or refreshing rates contacts the European Central Bank reference-rate service; offline, the app uses the latest successful local cache and shows its timestamp.
